Library staff member Kyle Willey will take you through the early history of the Hip-Hop movement.  View footage of early pioneers, listen to how and why they did what they did, and learn where their samples came from. Program focuses on the first years of the art form and its culture.  Program is being offered again as snow kept many away last month.

The Diabetes Prevention Program provides a supportive environment to learn about healthier eating and increasing physical activity in order to prevent or delay the development of Type 2 diabetes.  The year-long program is delivered by trained facilitators using the Prevent T2 Curriculum. Storyteller Sharon Kirk Clifton will share the stories of Ruth Wright of Rochester, an RN and Robert H. Tyndall, an Indianapolis businessman who heard the call to serve during WW I.  Both became leaders in Indiana after the War.  When Wright heard that the Red Cross needed volunteers for duty in France she went.  Tyndall sold half of his tailoring firm to his partner and re-entered the military.
