COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Council met Tuesday evening and okayed three funding appropriations for aspects of the county’s court services functions.

The council approved a request for $27,193 from a state Supreme Court grant for offsetting pre-trial services. This includes funding of the officer and coordinator positions.

Drug Recovery Court and Veterans’ Court are funded via user fees, which go into particular funds. In the case of the Drug Recovery Court, the council gave the go-ahead to appropriate $10,500 for training, supplies, drug testing, and community graduations. The Veterans Court’s request for $9,500 was approved for the same services.
