COLUMBUS, Ind. – The voter registration deadline for the 2020 General Election is two weeks away. You may visit www.indianavoters.com to check your current status, update your registration, or register to vote for the first time. Bartholomew County Clerk Jay Phelps says you may also call 812-379-1604 to have a form mailed to you.

To vote in November, voter registration applications must be turned into the Voter Registration and Elections Office, 234 Washington St., by Monday, October 5.

Registered voters who plan to vote by mail must apply by October 22. Call to request an absentee application at 812-379-1604. Mail ballots must be in the Clerk’s office by noon, Tuesday, November 3.

Absentee Voting in person (Early Voting) begins at Fair Oaks Mall on Tuesday, October 6, and ends Monday, November 2. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, in Bartholomew County, 12 vote center sites will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. View the hours for Early Voting and the Election Day sites here.
