Joanna's Top 3: 'What I learned from the Oscars' Edition

The Oscar ceremony was sooooo long (and equally awesome). Over those 4 hours of my life, I learned a few things.  For example, Ellen is a good friend and expert selfie-er.

Here are the Top 3 things that I learned from last night’s Oscar presentation:

#3 Harrison Ford is bored. He just could not muster up enough of any emotion to make his presentation of three of the Best Picture nominees sound…alive? At one point, I was actually concerned for his health. But I really think it was just Harrison Ford being over it. He did care enough to get in on the pizza action though…

#2 Liza Minelli went through a bad breakup. (not actually true) But come on! Why else do we women do random stuff to our hair like that? Okay. She was probably just being fun and matching her Oscar outfit. But I’d still like to think it was the breakup thing. 😉

#1 John Travolta forgot how to read. He was set to introduce the amazing Idina Menzel for her live performance of “Let It Go” from Frozen. Yea, it did not go well.

Good news though! If you want to be a part of this weird mistake, there is a website that will generate YOUR ‘Travolta-fied’ name. Have fun!

About The Author

Joanna Ryan

A majority of my growing up years were spent in Wanamaker, a small town just barely inside Franklin Township. Two of my neighbors were corn fields so my two sisters, younger brother, and I got into lots of trouble. I'm a proud Greyhound and graduate from the University of Indianapolis. I've worked for a few other stations throughout Indianapolis, collected a few awards along the way, and here I am! When I'm not at work, you can assume I'm with my family, reading a comic book, consuming too much TV and movies for one single person, trying to find time to volunteer, or snuggling one of my five pets (3 cats, 2 dogs. Pictures available upon request.).
