Week 8 of the 10 week challenge…and we are EARNING our Thanksgiving meal!

Yesterday was lower body strength training…and whew! Kicked my booty again!

So I noticed something about my body yesterday while doing my table top crunches (like normal crunches, except legs are up off the floor and bent at a 90 degree angle so shins are facing the ceiling).

Thanks to the figure 8 resistance bands (at least that’s what I think it’s from) and some serious donkey kicks, I have two bruises on each of my knees on either side of my knee cap! I also noticed the other day I have a couple on the backs of my arms from the resistance bands resting on that part of my arm. Funny eh? 🙂 About as funny as this gif right?

Don’t worry- they don’t hurt, and they didn’t hurt getting them. If anything they are like battle scars. I feel that way about some of my toes and the lack of nail thanks to the Mill Race Half Marathon :).

Excited for kickboxing again tonight! There is some extra motivation not only because it’s week 8, but for Thanksgiving tomorrow! I plan on attending both kickboxing AND upper body strength training just for that extra helping of stuffing.

Don’t forget about Farrell’s Black Friday specials! If you already know your new year’s resolution in 2014 is to get healthy and STAY that way Farrell’s is the perfect way to go!
