FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Public Library (JCPL) will offer live “Zoom into Storytime,” virtual storytimes for kids five and under, during the month of September. To replace the typical setting at the library, storytime kits will be available at the library so children can engage with storytime virtually.
“Storytimes promote early literacy and help children learn skills to get ready for school and life. Not being able to offer in-person storytime was a concern. Now that we are offering storytimes via Zoom, we want the experience to come alive for children participating at home,” said JCPL children’s service manager Chris Kolderup.
JCPL is presenting 14 virtual storytimes this month with the first scheduled for Tuesday, September 8.
