COLUMBUS, Ind. – Because of the ongoing pandemic, the United Way of Bartholomew County’s goal of $4 million for its 2021 campaign seemed very ambitious. The deadline for reaching that target was the end of March.
Officials at the non-profit announced over the weekend on their Facebook page that they had indeed met the annual fundraising total with a few days to spare.
A United Way spokesperson said, “We are grateful to everyone who stepped up and gave to our campaign. Bartholomew County is stronger because of you. 2020 was a tough year, but individuals and businesses came through when we needed it. We couldn’t do what we do without your generosity.”
