COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested a local woman early Saturday morning after she led law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit.

Officers were on the scene of a reported overdose in the 3100 block of Miami Court, at around 6:25 a.m., when Catina Caudill, 29, of Columbus began screaming at them. She then reportedly took off in her car at a high rate of speed, nearly struck a fire truck, and ran over a curb.

CPD and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop the woman, but she allegedly disregarded a nearby traffic signal and continued fleeing. Multiple tire deflation devices were used to eventually disable her car.

She was arrested near State Street and Repp Drive. After medical clearance, Caudill was taken to Bartholomew County Jail and charged with resisting law enforcement and driving while suspended.
