COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus Redevelopment Commission announced Tuesday that Mikala Brown has joined the staff as Redevelopment Project Coordinator.
A Hope native, Brown is a 2017 graduate of IUPUC, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in business with a dual concentration in Management and Finance. At IUPUC, she was recognized as a Chancellor Scholar, an award given to the student with the highest GPA in his or her class.
Brown brings experience in areas of customer service and support, project management, and financial analysis. Since 2020, she has owned and operated Cedar Spring Farm LLC, in Hope, a local event solutions provider.
As Redevelopment Project Coordinator, she is responsible for the coordination of the Redevelopment Commission’s implementation efforts of various public and private improvement projects.
“As a native of Bartholomew County, I am excited about the opportunity to work with the city on redevelopment initiatives designed to grow and revitalize Columbus, Indiana,” said Brown.
