COLUMBUS, Ind. – The weather wreaked havoc with the crosstown high school football contest on Friday night. The Columbus North vs. Columbus East game was postponed because of lightning. The Bulldogs and Olympians will now play at East on Saturday at 10 a.m.
In other area games that did take place on Friday night, Edinburgh clobbered Cloverdale, 55-0; Mt. Vernon outlasted Franklin, 43-25; Brown County edged Jennings County, 18-14; Jeffersonville outscored Seymour, 47-36; and Shelbyville beat Richmond, 22-16.
Next Friday, East travels to Seymour for the MOJO 102.9 Game of the Week with the pregame at 6:40 p.m. and kickoff at 7 p.m. North hosts Southport.
