COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus is now offering you the opportunity to participate in the bicentennial celebration in downtown Columbus while contributing to a more active lifestyle. The city is expanding the People Trail and selling engraved bricks to commemorate the 200th birthday of Columbus and Bartholomew County.
Customized bricks can honor your family or business, commemorate an important occasion, or memorialize a loved one. Your support will be a lasting legacy of your contribution to Columbus and the People Trail system.
Bricks are 4 x 8 inches in size and are visible along the 1821 Bicentennial Trail on First Street, from Water Street to Lafayette Avenue. Each engraved brick sells for $100 and allows for one, two, or three lines of text with a maximum of 16 characters per line.
