COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) announced Friday that many departments and units hospital-wide are experiencing very high patient numbers, including a consistently large number of COVID-19-positive inpatients.
Officials say that around 80% of the facility’s coronavirus patients are unvaccinated.
These critical capacity limits have put a serious strain on vital resources, such as space, equipment, and staffing. At this critical time, every bed counts.
CRH pleads with Bartholomew County residents to help. The options are not new, but they do work.
• Get vaccinated.
• If you’re vaccinated, get your booster.
• Wear a mask.
• If you don’t feel well, get tested and stay home except to seek medical care.
• Have compassion and concern for your neighbor; this affects everyone.
