FRANKLIN, Ind. – To create a pipeline for entry-level health care employees, Johnson Memorial Health and Ivy Tech are teaming up to provide training and immediate employment for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
JMH initially will hire 10 people to work as CNAs and pay for their 12-week certification training through the Ivy Tech’s Franklin campus. In return, the participants must commit to working for JMH for at least one year.
Participants must be high school graduates or have a GED certificate and pass tuition-free, certification-required coursework at Ivy Tech Franklin. They also will be paid to work at the Franklin hospital campus on other days.
Ivy Tech also provides training and certification pathways for other licensed healthcare positions.
More information about the CNA certification/work program and an online application portal can be found on Johnson Memorial Health’s website.
