COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ethnic Expo officially returns to Columbus for the first time since 2019 this weekend. Its traditional format will be in place. The African American Community is the city’s host partner at this year’s festival

Presented by title sponsor First Financial Bank, the two-day event, which fosters understanding and an appreciation of Columbus’ diverse population, is set for this Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8, downtown along First Street behind Columbus City Hall. The food and vendor booths open each day at 11 a.m.

The 39th Ethnic Expo features authentic food, music, a Biergarten, merchandise vendors, and cultural programming in the Host Partner area that represents the traditions of African American culture.

There will not be a Saturday Ethnic Expo parade this year. Musical entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturday. Over 30,000 people are expected to attend.
