COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus has announced the addition of Regina D. McIntyre, C.P.A. as the new Finance Director for the city. She will oversee the financial, budget, and accounting strategies for the mayor for the remainder of 2023.
Beginning in January 2024, McIntyre will serve in the newly created Controller position, which was created due to the city’s transition to becoming a Second Class City. In this new capacity, she will serve as the Fiscal Officer for the City of Columbus and oversee the financial, budget, and accounting operations and strategy.
Before joining the City of Columbus, McIntyre was employed by Columbus Regional Health for 21 years and last served as the Director of Patient Finance. Specifically, she managed a team of 40 employees where she oversaw patient billing from multiple revenue sources to help standardize and streamline processes throughout the hospital.
Mayor Jim Lienhoop stated, “The City of Columbus is pleased to be adding an individual with the skill and experience needed to successfully enhance our operations as we transition to a Second Class City with the required changes. We fully expect Regina will be an asset in the years to come.”
