BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Town officials and community leaders from across the county gathered on Tuesday morning to break ground on the future Umbarger Plaza.
This marked the official commencement of converting an empty downtown lot into a public greenspace, featuring a stage and on-site restroom facilities.
The space, located at 118 North Baldwin St., was formerly used by the Umbarger family for their feed production company.
The plaza, at a cost of approximately $2 million, is anticipated to be completed in late 2024.
