TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The German Township Volunteer Fire Department honored two deputies from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) last weekend.
Lt. Andrew Dougan and Sgt. Andrew Densford were recognized and given awards for their life-saving actions when they responded to a structure fire, on Dacia Street in Taylorsville, in April 2023. During the fire, the two firefighters entered the home and rescued a man inside.
Sheriff Chris Lane said, “We are proud to have selfless people like these two at BCSO.”
