GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) Board of School Trustees voted to appoint Jane Dunigan-Smith to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Gary Robinson in June. Mrs. Dunigan-Smith will serve through December 2026.
Dunigan-Smith is the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at BioCrossroads. She has a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington.
She has served on the Board of the Center Grove Education Foundation and is a graduate of the Center Grove Ambassadors program.
The newest school board member was selected from a group of eight finalists interviewed by the Board during a special meeting on Monday, July 15.
“We were very impressed with everybody we talked to,” said Rob Daniels, Board Vice President. “It is a real tribute and a real honor to welcome Jane. We know Jane will do a great job. We chose the direction that is best for the corporation.”
“It is such an honor to be able to serve the students and community of Center Grove in this capacity,” said Dunigan-Smith. “Both of my sons have had excellent experiences here, and I want to ensure that continues for students now and in the future.”
She will be sworn in at the CGCSC Board meeting in August.
