COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) Superintendent Chad Phillips has announced that the local IREAD test results were presented to the BCSC Board last week. This assessment is given to all 3rd graders in Indiana.

He said, “The results were positive with more than 85% of BCSC students mastering basic reading skills.”  He reminded all parents and families that reading with your child every day is the most effective way to help them succeed in school.

Phillips added, “If you have one hour per week, consider becoming a book buddy in the BCSC schools – it will improve a child’s life.”
