FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) Grants Committee recently awarded $855,000 to 10 organizations allowing JCCF to address several crucial needs in the county.

The Capital and Capacity Building Community Projects Matching Grants were made possible by the Lilly Endowment Inc.’s initiative, Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT VIII) matching fund grant, totaling $3 million.

Qualifying matching funds raised for community projects or capacity-building activities are eligible for a $1(grantor)-to-$1(grantee) match through this program.

Following are the organizations and amounts awarded:

  • Bridges Alliance of Johnson County ($15,000)
  • Franklin Community High School FFA Alumni and Supporters ($100,000)
  • Franklin Heritage ($50,000)
  • Greenwood Education Foundation ($81,000)
  • Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County ($134,000)
  • Humane Society of Johnson County ($250,000)
  • Imagination Library of Johnson County ($15,000)
  • Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi Catholic School ($100,000)
  • Servants at Work ($10,000)
  • Upstream Prevention ($100,000)
