FRANKLIN, Ind. – Long-time CEO Theresa Matthews has announced her retirement from Tara Treatment Center, an alcohol and addiction treatment center in Franklin. She became CEO in 2006 following the passing of her mother and has spent her entire career at Tara.

Matthews has held many positions there, including registered nurse, Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, and Advanced Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist.

“I have spent my entire career here and have been so blessed to have served people seeking lifelong recovery. I have so many memories and will miss the people. I know we will continue our mission and ministry with determination and dedication,” stated Matthews.

Tara’s Board of Directors also announced that Jessica Daugherty has been appointed her successor as CEO. Daugherty began her career at Tara in 2002 and has held multiple positions throughout her tenure, most recently serving as facility administrator.

Daugherty said, “I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead this incredible organization. Tara has a remarkable legacy centered on compassion and dedication, and I look forward to building on this strong foundation alongside our talented team.”
