Local travel advisory upgrades to orange

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – Bartholomew County’s travel status has been upgraded to a Watch Level (Orange).  Moderate snowfall continues to fall with heavier bands moving toward the Bartholomew County area.  Visibility is expected to decrease as a result of both the heavier snowfall and darkness.  Please refrain from travel unless absolutely necessary.

During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies and other organizations.

Other area counties in the orange travel watch include Johnson, Jennings, Jackson, and Decatur. Shelby County remains in an advisory.
