COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County judges James D. Worton, Kelly S. Benjamin, and Jonathan L. Rohde released a statement on Monday afternoon about the operating hours of the county’s courts.
Beginning March 1, the regular hours of Bartholomew Circuit and Superior Court will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Previously the courts operated until 5 p.m. Out of 92 Indiana counties, only two, Bartholomew and Carroll, had courts open until 5 p.m. Starting next month, there will be only one.
The modifications in court hours and employee work schedules were approved by the Bartholomew County Judges with the recommendation from the General Counsel to the Indiana Supreme Court.
The courthouse and clerk’s office will remain open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
