GREENWOOD, Ind. – An Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor is scheduled to begin work on State Road 135 between County Line Road and Fairview Road on or after Monday, March 3, to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Greenwood.
This project, part of a $3.7 million contract awarded to Milestone Contractors in October 2024, will be completed in three phases. As work progresses, INDOT will provide more information. Signage will be placed in the area before the start of construction.
Drivers should slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
Overall work on S.R. 135 is expected to be complete in late June, weather permitting. Lane closures will be utilized on S.R. 135 while Phase 1 of work is in progress and are currently planned as follows:
- No right or left-hand turns from southbound S.R. 135 onto Fry Road
- No left-hand turns from northbound S.R. 135 onto Fry Road
- Right-hand turns from northbound S.R. 135 onto Fry Road will still be permitted
- Northbound and southbound S.R. 135 reduced to one lane from Stonegate Drive to Michele Lane
- The west side entrance to Fry Road will be closed from S.R. 135 while work is in progress
