FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College Theatre Department will present Qui Nguyen’s production She Kills Monsters, Thursday, March 13, through Saturday, March 15, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.
Agnes Evans leaves her childhood home following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. However, when she discovers Tilly’s Dungeons and Dragons notebook, Agnes is catapulted into a journey of discovery and adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. This dramatic comedy is laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ’90s pop culture, and offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
Instructor of Theatre Scott Russell (M.F.A.) will direct the production and choreograph combative scenes. He joined the Franklin College faculty in 2023.
General admission is $12. Admission for children and seniors (55+) is $8. Franklin College students, faculty, and staff will receive free admission with a valid Franklin College ID.
