SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Seymour Fire Department (SPD) participated in the Career College Transition Fair held at Seymour High School on Wednesday.
Students from all the High Schools in Jackson County got to browse booths of various businesses, organizations, and public service positions available in our area. The Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation sponsored the career fair.
SPD also used this as an opportunity to discuss best safety practices with young/new drivers in our community.
Sgt. Stephen Wheeles of the Indiana State Police was there and said, “I connected with some students who may just have what it takes to one day become a State Trooper. I think the students would say that getting to wear the drunk goggles was the highlight of the visit to my booth.”
