COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff Chris Lane has announced the opening of the enrollment period for the Indiana Sheriff’s Association college scholarships.

To qualify, you must be a high school senior or full-time (12 hours) college student pursuing a degree in criminal justice. You must also be an Indiana resident, a current member of the association, or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member, and attend an Indiana college or university.

Approximately 40 – $750 scholarships will be awarded to qualifying students throughout the state.

Applications are available at the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, 543 Second St., in Columbus, your high school counselor, or any local sheriff’s office.

The applications are due at the Indiana Sheriff’s Association on or before April 1.
