COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College Columbus science faculty members are offering a free stargazing event this weekend for anyone interested in learning more about observing objects visible in the night sky.
The experience will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Greensburg State Fishing Area on the west side of Greensburg, off of State Road 3.
Ivy Tech Columbus faculty members Dr. Tom Sobat and Cyrus Screwvala will lead the event. It is open to the public, and all community members are welcome. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Attendance is limited to those planning to participate, no fishing is allowed. The Ivy Tech Science Department telescope will be set up for nighttime observations.
